TTE Standard Views 2.0

We have developed an interactive application designed to facilitate the teaching and learning of cardiac function assessment using transthoracic echocardiography (TTE). Mastering TTE involves overcoming the challenge of interpreting two-dimensional echocardiographic images into a comprehensive visualization of the heart's three-dimensional (3D) structure. The application enables users to review TTE recordings corresponding to each of the 20 standardized views utilized in a comprehensive cardiology examination, providing insights into the probe, ultrasound plane, heart, and rib cage for each perspective.

Users can seamlessly access different TTE views through a menu located on the left-hand side of the screen or by utilizing arrow buttons for effortless navigation between views. A distinctive feature of this application lies in the ability to rotate the 3D models of the probe, ultrasound plane, heart, and rib cage horizontally and vertically, allowing users to explore these components from various perspectives.

Moreover, the interactive features extend to advanced functionalities such as isolating the heart from above the echocardiographic plane, removing the rib cage for a clearer view, and aligning the heart model in such a way that its structures accurately align with those depicted in the TTE image.
